Andrew Carrothers
Andrew is a Consultant in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery at Addenbrooke’s, Cambridge, with specialist interests in pelvic and acetabular surgery and lower limb trauma reconstructive surgery as well as orthopaedic robotic-assisted hip and knee replacement surgeries. In addition, he is in the Royal Army Medical Corps (V), having served in both Iraq and Afghanistan. His clinical and research interests centre on older patients’ pelvic and acetabular surgery including ‘Fix & Replace’, orthopaedic training and education and medico-legal practice. As Chief Investigator, he has successfully delivered the UK NIHR RCT AceFIT – Acetabular Fractures in older patients Intervention Trial.

Mr Alex Trompeter
Mr Alex Trompeter’s main areas of practice are in orthopaedic trauma and limb reconstruction, specifically bone infection, nonunion, deformity correction, and management of bone loss. He works closely with plastic surgeons for many cases, and has a regular ortho-plastic-microbiology MDT clinic as well as delivering the region’s amputation service.
