Three years.

How did you first get involved with The Bone & Joint Journal?

As a junior surgeon I was fortunate to have the opportunity to do an MD(Res). I published the results in the BJJ and it all started there.

What is the best thing about being on the board?

The best thing is the board meeting every three months. It's a great opportunity to see old friends and to discuss a wide variety of papers. I learn so much from the board members and the discussions are thought-provoking and inspiring.

What one piece of advice would you give to others who might like to get more involved with The Bone & Joint Journal?

What song is top of your operating room playlist?

I love music but I don't have any playing whilst operating because I find it too distracting (I enjoy it too much and find myself thinking about the music rather than the operation!). I play the piano so between cases I enjoy listening to any keyboard music. I am also a fan of Adele.
