How long have you been on the board?
Since April 2014.
How did you first get involved with The Bone & Joint Journal?
Fares Haddad invited me when he has first appointed as Editor-in-Chief and I started once my workload in 2014 permitted.
What is the best thing about being on the board?
Best things about being a Specialty Editor - keeping up to date with the latest academic trends in orthopaedic spine care. Best things about being on the Editorial Board - the quarterly board meeting; catching up with friends and colleagues who live and work in far-flung places in the UK and abroad.
What one piece of advice would you give to others who might like to get more involved with The Bone & Joint Journal?
Don't hesitate. If the person has the academic background necessary and is willing to devote time and energy to the role, go for it!
