Treatment of comminuted intraarticular calcaneal fractures remains controversial and challenging. Anatomic reduction with stable fixation has demonstrated better outcomes than nonoperative treatment of displaced intraarticular fractures involving the posterior facet and anterior calcaneocuboid joint (CCJ) articulating surface of the calcaneus.
