  2. Breakage of components

  3. Infection

  4. Dislocation of components

  5. Wear of components

  6. Osteolysis

Wherefore

Removal and replacement of the cup is done for:

  1. Loose cup

  2. Broken cup

  3. Infection

  4. Malpositioned cup for which there is no salvage

  5. Wear of the cup for which there is no salvage
